Bath has got to be either one of the most, or perhaps THE most family-friendly cities to visit in the country. We’ve got amazing parks and green spaces, lovely baby and child friendly cafes, great shops and some brilliant things to do. Well done you for thinking about visiting.
If you are visiting Bath with your child-in-a-buggy or new to the area, this guide is for you. Priced low — in recognition of the fact that you probably haven’t slept well for years and you need a bit of a boost where you can get it — this guide details the best cafes (including some that still make you feel like a grown-up), the best parks and gardens, the easiest activities for under 5’s to do around town, the best children’s shops and even details two beautiful flat routes for you to walk incase your children are like mine, and only sleep when on the move.
Created with local knowledge by a local mum, this guide contains all kinds of information that I wish I could get hold of easily on the rare occasion that I travel with my own small children.
Because I’m nice and because I care about parents with small children I will tell you now that it is my belief that the best baby-change in town is in one by the library/ Waitrose cafe. Enjoy your visit to Bath, I hope you find this guide useful.
