Beginning along what was once an ancient route, going swiftly to one of Bath’s best pubs with one of England’s finest pub-views, the Four Crescents Pub Loop will take you on an all-downhill route through one of Bath’s most spectacularly beautiful areas, visiting Lansdown Crescent, Somerset Place, Cavendish Crescent and the Royal Crescent on the way.

The route takes you along little-walked roads known to locals and you are likely to enjoy your walk in peace.

The route described in Four Crescents Pub Loop runs from the Hare and Hounds pub at the top of Lansdown Road, back to the Royal Crescent in central Bath. To enjoy a walk that is all downhill, we suggest that you take the Park and Ride bus to Hamilton House – this suggestion is detailed in your guide, but with a car, or with excellent levels of fitness, it is possible for your to tailor your route as you please.
